She is greatly looking forward to serving the community and expanding the large animal services in the area!
Dr. Danielle Gutter, DVM (Locum)
Dr. Danielle Gutter grew up on an acreage near Devon Alberta. She spent most of her time playing sports or spending time with her dogs, cats, and horses. Although she always felt drawn towards the agriculture sector, a job at a local dairy farm is particularly responsible for sparking her interest into the bovine industry. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and began her career on Vancouver Island as a predominantly large animal veterinarian that focused largely on dairy, equine, and small ruminant medicine. Outside of work she enjoys all sports, hiking, and travelling.
More often she can be found trying to keep up with her much too active canine co-pilot, Stella, whom will be happy to return to the snow in exchange for the less than desirable rain. Although having to acclimate back to prairie winter weather is definitely going to be a challenge, Danielle is excited to get back to her roots!
Laurel graduated from Olds College AHT program in 2013 and has enjoyed working in mixed animal practice in Maple Creek for the majority of her career. She has enjoyed expanding her role within the clinic to management, and is always looking for ways to improve patient care and customer service. Her special interests include animal behavior and training, neonatal care, and rescue of both large and small animals. She spends her time away from work with her family on the farm, with their herd of rescue critters.
